Innovation Vs. Tradition

If you watched the Super Bowl last weekend you probably noticed that a large portion of the commercials went to the automakers. Today I came across this list of 10 up and coming car companies. What are your thoughts on purchasing a vehicle from a smaller new company rather than from one of the larger and well known companies? Would you support these ideas of innovation or stick with your trusty old favorites?
